About the position

The Sales Support Representative (SSR) at Electro Rent plays a crucial role in assisting Inside Sales Engineers (ISEs) to enhance revenue generation from existing and new business opportunities. The SSR is responsible for managing open quotes, qualifying leads, and ensuring effective customer engagement throughout the sales process. This position requires collaboration with various teams and OEMs to optimize lead distribution and manage rebate programs, ultimately contributing to the company's growth and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain open quotes and follow up on business opportunities
• Accurately document all stages of the opportunity
• Engage with customers on leads not assigned to ISE
• Qualify controllable leads and distribute them based on criteria
• Ensure continuous customer engagement on post-purchase orders
• Collaborate with various OEMs to manage rebate programs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and internet search engines
• Knowledgeable about current technology trends
• Two plus years of related sales support experience
• AA degree or equivalent required, technical training preferred
• Well organized and able to multi-task in concurrent selling situations
• Ability to develop and maintain positive customer relationships
• Ability to perform required physical elements of the job

• Experience with Salesforce platform
• Familiarity with the test and measurement equipment industry

Benefits

• Salary range of $55,000 to $62,000 per year plus sales commission
• Estimated on-target earnings of $72,700 max
• Hybrid work model requiring presence at corporate HQ 3 days a week
