About the position

The Sales Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the sales department by responding to customer inquiries and supporting sales operations. This position requires a goal-oriented individual with strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. The specialist will help build and maintain customer relationships while ensuring the sales team operates efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer accounts
• Build reports with Excel utilizing formulas, charts, pivot tables, etc.
• Provide the sales team with data reports and sales guidelines
• Decide and act independently within delegated areas of responsibility
• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to direct leader
• Collect and maintain accurate item specifications and product line details
• Sustain electronic and physical filing systems for storing company documents
• Some travel to trade shows is required (Spring -- up to 2 weeks, Fall -- up to 2 weeks)

Requirements

• 1-3 years' experience as an administrative assistant
• Proficient knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office, Word, Excel etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner
• Effective time management; maximizes productivity
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
