About the position

The Sales Tax Accountant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with sales tax obligations across multiple states, focusing on accuracy and efficiency while minimizing the company's sales tax liabilities. This role requires a strong understanding of multi-state sales tax accounting and proficiency in tax management systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file sales and use tax returns from Vertex for multiple states, to comply with state and local regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (Accounting preferred)
• CPA helpful
• 3-5 years of multi-state sales tax accounting experience
• Experience researching tax rules and regulations for products and services
• Proficiency with Vertex Returns, or similar tax management systems required
• Strong Excel skills are required
• Ability to work independently and interact well with others

Nice-to-haves

• Oracle and Tableau experience a plus
