About the position

The Sales Tax Accountant is responsible for managing multi-state sales tax accounting, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and utilizing tax management systems to streamline processes. This role requires a strong understanding of tax rules and regulations, as well as the ability to work independently while collaborating with team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-state sales tax accounting processes.
• Research tax rules and regulations for various products and services.
• Utilize Vertex Returns or similar tax management systems for tax reporting.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with tax regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (Accounting preferred).
• 3-5 years of multi-state sales tax accounting experience.
• Experience researching tax rules and regulations for products and services.
• Proficiency with Vertex Returns or similar tax management systems.
• Strong Excel skills are required.
