About the position

The Sales Team Associate at Northgate Markets is responsible for conducting in-store food and non-food demonstrations, engaging with customers, and promoting products in a professional manner. This role emphasizes customer interaction, product knowledge, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The associate will work closely with store personnel to achieve company and client objectives while providing a positive shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-store food and non-food demonstrations.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented.
• Serve, demonstrate, intercept consumers, and sell products professionally.
• Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
• Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
• Set up and prepare Event Table for execution.
• Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
• Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
• Build and maintain rapport with store personnel.
• Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
• Use graphic aids to facilitate demonstrations.
• Perform any other work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
• Food Safety Certificate is required.
• Strong communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret, and understand English and Spanish.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in food service or retail sales is a plus.
• Ability to engage and interact positively with customers.
