About the position

Experience is not necessary, we will provide the training! This position offers a base salary plus commission. The ideal candidate must already be a resident of the market. Penn Warranty Corporation is a well-respected company, with over 30 years' experience in the vehicle service contract (VSC) and ancillary products market to independent and franchise dealerships throughout the United States. The Sales Territory Dealer Development Manager is a B2B sales position, responsible for on-boarding new accounts, servicing existing accounts, and training dealers and service centers through daily face-to-face and phone calls via the CRM (Call Proof) tool within the assigned territory. The role involves developing and managing a weekly pipeline of business that consistently meets budgets and sales goals. Essential Functions of a Penn Warranty Dealer Development Manager include creating and executing a sales plan to build revenue by maintaining and developing relationships with dealerships within the assigned territory by making 8-12 face-to-face dealer sales and service calls per day. The position also requires making sales calls, both cold calls and sales service calls, and monitoring competition by gathering information on pricing and products. Listening to customer needs and selling to those needs while effectively communicating product knowledge to dealers is crucial. Additionally, the manager will keep management informed by submitting contact reports and e-mails pertaining to activity in the territory, assist with resolving customer issues, maintain an adequate inventory of sales supplies for placement at dealerships, and participate in trade shows and conventions.

Responsibilities

  • Make 8-12 face-to-face dealer sales and service calls per day.
  • Conduct cold calls and sales service calls to onboard new accounts and service existing accounts.
  • Monitor competition by gathering information on pricing and products.
  • Listen to customer needs and effectively communicate product knowledge to dealers.
  • Submit contact reports and e-mails to management regarding activity in the territory.
  • Assist with resolving customer issues and maintain an adequate inventory of sales supplies for dealerships.
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions.

Requirements

  • Experience in business-to-business sales preferred but not required.
  • Finance, Insurance, Automotive, and Service Contract experience is desirable.
  • Must complete a drug screening and background check upon hire.
  • Valid Driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Experience in sales is preferred.
