About the position

The Sales Territory Manager - Agronomy is responsible for managing and developing sales relationships within a designated geographic territory to support and grow the customer base for the Agronomy division. This role involves serving as a subject-matter expert on Agronomy products, including seed, fertilizer, crop protectants, and feed, while working closely with both current and prospective customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop sales relationships within a geographic territory.
  • Support, grow, and maintain a customer base for the Agronomy division.
  • Serve as the sales subject-matter expert for Agronomy products.
  • Conduct customer visits regionally to build relationships and understand their needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • At least five years of professional working experience in agriculture, preferably in agronomy, crop protection, soil management, custom application, or crop sales.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of seed, fertilizer, crop protectant, and/or feed products and services.
  • Knowledge of best practices related to farming and crop production.
  • Dedication to safety and compliance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in agriculture, business, or a related field.
  • Passion and enthusiasm for working with cooperative customers.
  • Desire to learn and grow as a cross-functional team member.
