This role is pivotal in promoting and selling automatic, checkweigher, and industrial products within the defined territory. The Sales Territory Manager will be responsible for engaging with end users and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to drive sales and regain market awareness for new machine sales, Genuine Yamato Parts, and service offerings. The position requires a proactive approach to assess customer needs, develop strategies, and implement tactics to achieve sales goals as outlined by company management. The Sales Territory Manager will be expected to visit manufacturing plants, which may involve climbing ladders and mezzanines averaging 15 feet in height to assess equipment needs. This role demands a strong understanding of the market and the ability to collaborate effectively with other sales representatives and departments within Yamato, including Applications Engineering and Project Management. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing monthly reports and forecasts, utilizing a CRM system to manage the sales pipeline, and participating in quarterly sales meetings and trade shows, both domestically and internationally. Candidates must have a proven track record in capital equipment sales, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in packaging or related fields. The role requires excellent organizational, communication, and technical skills, particularly with Windows-based software. The ability to travel extensively, with a minimum of 51% travel required, is essential, along with a valid driver's license and passport for international travel.
