The position demands a proactive approach to achieving designated annual sales quotas and requires collaboration with other sales representatives and departments within Yamato, such as Applications Engineering and Project Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to meet sales goals as outlined by management. This includes providing monthly reports and forecasts, utilizing a CRM system to manage the sales pipeline, and participating in quarterly sales meetings at the company headquarters in Grafton, Wisconsin. The role also involves attending U.S. and international trade shows as directed, which may require standing and walking for extended periods, up to 8 hours a day, while engaging with customers and prospects. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic work environment that may involve short periods in varying plant conditions, including cold, damp, or warm environments. The territory covered will primarily be in the Midwest, with potential changes based on business needs and managerial discretion.
