About the position

Texas Security General Insurance Agency is seeking a Sales Territory Manager to work in the Houston, Texas market. This position can be remote for the right candidate, but the individual must be domiciled in the Houston area. The Sales Territory Manager plays a crucial role in the success of the organization by creating awareness about TSG's personal lines (PL) and commercial lines (CL) products and qualifying agents who may be suitable for writing business through TSG. This role involves planning and executing weekly visits to agents' offices to build relationships, increase product awareness, and provide training, all aimed at boosting revenues year over year. Founded in 1995, Texas Security General Insurance Agency, LLC (TSGA) has evolved from offering two products to a wide array of personal lines, including homeowners, dwelling fire, and mobile home markets. TSGA is dedicated to providing its agents with the best market availability and the most advanced technological solutions in the insurance industry. Since 2004, TSGA has heavily invested in its real-time internet-based program, ISi, Internet Solutions for Insurance. In 2007, TSGA expanded into the commercial lines business, offering competitive markets for commercial property, liability, and inland marine products. Today, TSGA continues to provide a comprehensive range of commercial contract and brokerage markets. The Sales Territory Manager will be responsible for calling on existing and potential agents to provide product information and materials, as well as agency updates. This role requires organizing and maintaining a well-defined call cycle, keeping precise records of daily and weekly activities, and working with the marketing team to create various marketing tools. The manager will also need to stay current with reimbursement and compliance procedures, facilitate effective communication with agents, and perform periodic market analysis to identify new opportunities. Additionally, the manager will prepare and monitor marketing reports and goals, ensuring that mutual objectives with the underwriting team are understood and met. Keeping abreast of industry trends and attending meetings and conventions as required are also essential aspects of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Call on existing and potential agents to provide product information and materials as well as agency updates.
  • Organize, outline, and maintain a well-defined call cycle.
  • Maintain precise and accurate records of daily and weekly activities and referral profiles.
  • Work with Marketing at TSG on the creation of various marketing tools including brochures, exhibits, press releases, and advertising.
  • Remain current with reimbursement and compliance procedures.
  • Facilitate effective communication with all agents and respond promptly and appropriately to any questions or concerns.
  • Perform periodic market analysis, identify and target new opportunities, and update the PCL regarding such opportunities and market changes.
  • Help develop marketing tools for the underwriting staff as needed particular to their territory.
  • Prepare and monitor marketing reports, goals, and outcomes, communicating regularly with the underwriting team to ensure mutual goals are understood and met.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and related news.
  • Attend meetings and conventions as called upon by the PCL.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher education.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • 1 - 3 years experience in a similar position.
  • License or Designation.
