About the position

The Sales Territory Manager at AAA Cooper Transportation is responsible for maintaining and growing existing accounts within a designated territory while also seeking opportunities to enhance productivity and profitability. This role involves managing National Accounts locally, serving as the primary contact for customers, and facilitating communication between customers and various departments within the company. The position requires negotiation of rates and services to meet customer needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Set up appointments for existing accounts and prospective customers.
• Identify and secure profitable revenue within the assigned geographic area.
• Manage new and established accounts for continued revenue and profit growth and achievement of strategic sales objective goals.
• Gather information from prospective customers in order to establish a business relationship.
• Communicate to Operations and various departments the customer's requirements.
• Communicate to customer our commitment to meet requirements established by customer.
• Assist in the negotiation of price and services provided.
• Represent AAA Cooper Transportation at off-site meetings.
• Perform various jobs assigned by Terminal Manager.

Requirements

• Proven experience in sales or account management, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to analyze market trends and identify opportunities for growth.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with National Accounts management.
• Familiarity with less-than-truckload (LTL) and truckload (TL) transportation services.
