About the position

The position involves fostering and maintaining customer relationships within a team-based selling model, managing deliveries, and ensuring timely payments while identifying new business opportunities in the foodservice industry.

Responsibilities

  • Foster and maintain customer relationships in a team-based selling model.
  • Manage deliveries according to the transportation department's routing schedule and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  • Communicate with customers to collect accounts receivable and work with the credit department to ensure timely payments.
  • Utilize market intelligence databases and attend trade shows and conferences to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, and share relevant information with customers.
  • Drive to customer locations for product delivery, including lifting and carrying up to 75lbs.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
  • Experience in the foodservice industry, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products; experience with customer relationship management tools is preferred.
