About the position

Our Colorado Springs, CO Terminal is immediately hiring a Logistics Sales Territory Manager. This position is essential for driving sales and expanding business opportunities within the territory. The ideal candidate will have a background in Less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation and will be responsible for calling on regular and prospective customers to solicit new or expanded business opportunities. The role requires conferring with customers to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services, ensuring professional handling of the company's products and services. The Sales Territory Manager will prepare proposals and bids to obtain sales, plan and organize their daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers, and work in a multi-department, fast-paced, customer-oriented environment. Keeping management informed is crucial, which involves submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and regular sales territory manager analysis. The manager will also monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on competitive pricing and services, recommending changes in service and pricing based on evaluations of results and competitive developments. Resolving customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions is a key responsibility. The manager will maintain professional and technical knowledge of the transportation industry and provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer revenue. Additionally, the role contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed, creating a work environment that recognizes and encourages individual contributions, and providing ongoing investment in associates' education. The position aims to maximize return on investments and continually improve processes to eliminate opportunities for errors, while being perceived as a leader in innovation within the industry. The Sales Territory Manager will also assess and exceed customers' expectations as a sales representative.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Background in Less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation required.
  • Experience in management, sales, and customer service.
  • Mid-level experience in territory management and customer relationship management.
  • Strong prospecting and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.

  • Experience in product sales is preferred but will train the right individual.
