About the position

The Territory Manager at Genesis Reference Laboratories is responsible for managing and growing a designated sales territory. This role involves building relationships with healthcare professionals, onboarding new accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction through regular visits and education on company offerings. The position requires daily travel to meet clients and maintain a strong presence in the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Identify target physicians in qualified specialties.
  • Maintain a constant pipeline and monthly new account onboarding.
  • Retain and grow current assigned accounts and territory.
  • Conduct routine account visits to ensure proper account management and relationship development.
  • Provide customer education on company policies, testing options, and industry updates.
  • Train office staff on submission processes and the GENuine Portal.
  • Manage sample collection and supply ordering.
  • Educate clients on specialty reporting and differentiation.
  • Communicate weekly with Laboratory Care Specialists (LCSs).
  • Conduct compliance site visits quarterly as needed.
  • Support collection coverage as needed.
  • Update Marketing Action Plans (MAP) monthly and provide quarterly updates.
  • Articulate the competitive landscape in local markets and Genesis Reference Laboratories advantages.
  • Work collaboratively with Account Managers and home office teams to ensure excellent service.

Requirements

  • Reliable mode of transportation.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to travel within an assigned territory.
  • 3-5 years experience in the related field.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a highly professional client service orientation.
  • Strong organization, time management, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office/Google and Microsoft Office 365 applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or Communications, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in medical or laboratory space.
  • Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving, team environment.
