About the position

Crafco, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced outside Sales Territory Manager to oversee sales operations in the states of Delaware, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. This full-time position is ideal for a sales professional who is passionate about building relationships and driving business growth in the pavement preservation industry. The Sales Territory Manager will be responsible for visiting customers regularly, creating new business opportunities, and promoting our high-quality highway and bridge pavement preservation materials and the equipment necessary for their application. The role requires frequent travel within the designated territory, with most days spent out in the field engaging with clients. The successful candidate will receive a strong base salary complemented by bonus potential and profit sharing. Additionally, Crafco provides a company vehicle, laptop, and cellphone to facilitate effective territory management. Responsibilities

  • Manage sales operations within the states of Delaware, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to drive business growth.
  • Conduct equipment demonstrations and provide product knowledge to clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the pavement preservation market.
  • Travel frequently within the defined sales territory to meet with customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and support.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to both large groups and individual clients.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of outside sales experience is required.
  • Experience in the pavement or bridge maintenance industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction equipment sales is a plus.
  • Strong selling skills and experience in government contracts and bids are advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Practical presentation skills for both large groups and individuals.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills are necessary.
  • A current driver's license and a good driving record are required.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent outside sales experience is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in related fields such as construction, asphalt, concrete, or chemicals.
  • Previous experience selling equipment is a plus.
