About the position

The Sales Territory Manager at AAA Cooper Transportation is responsible for maintaining and growing existing accounts within a designated territory. This role focuses on improving productivity and profitability while managing National Accounts locally. The Sales Territory Manager serves as the primary contact for customers, facilitating communication between them and various departments within the company, and negotiating rates and services as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up appointments for existing accounts and prospective customers.
• Identify and secure profitable revenue within the assigned geographic area.
• Manage new and established accounts for continued revenue and profit growth and achievement of strategic sales objective goals.
• Gather information from prospective customers in order to establish a business relationship.
• Communicate to Operations and various departments the customer's requirements.
• Communicate to customer our commitment to meet requirements established by customer.
• Assist in the negotiation of price and services provided.
• Represent AAA Cooper Transportation at off-site meetings.
• Perform various jobs assigned by Terminal Manager.

Requirements

• Experience in sales or account management, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyze customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry.
• Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
