About the position

As a Sales Territory Manager at AAA Cooper Transportation, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and growing existing accounts within your assigned territory. Your primary focus will be on enhancing productivity and profitability while also managing National Accounts at a local level. This position requires effective communication with customers to understand their requirements and relay this information to various departments within the company. You will act as the single point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met and negotiating rates and services as necessary. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for setting up appointments with both existing accounts and prospective customers. Your ability to identify and secure profitable revenue opportunities within your geographic area will be key to your success. You will manage both new and established accounts, striving for continued revenue growth and the achievement of strategic sales objectives. Gathering information from prospective customers will be essential in establishing strong business relationships. Additionally, you will communicate the company's commitment to meeting customer requirements and assist in negotiating prices and services. Representing AAA Cooper Transportation at off-site meetings will also be part of your responsibilities, along with performing various tasks assigned by the Terminal Manager. This position is integral to the company's sales strategy and requires a proactive approach to account management and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Set up appointments for existing accounts and prospective customers.
  • Identify and secure profitable revenue within the assigned geographic area.
  • Manage new and established accounts for continued revenue and profit growth and achievement of strategic sales objective goals.
  • Gather information from prospective customers in order to establish a business relationship.
  • Communicate to Operations and various departments the customer's requirements.
  • Communicate to customer our commitment to meet requirements established by customer.
  • Assist in the negotiation of price and services provided.
  • Represent AAA Cooper Transportation at off-site meetings.
  • Perform various jobs assigned by Terminal Manager.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales or account management, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to identify and secure profitable revenue opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
  • Knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and customer needs.
