About the position
The Sales Trainee position at Amperage is a 24-month rotational program designed to provide comprehensive training in various roles within the company. Trainees will gain exposure to all aspects of the business, develop relationships with electrical contractors, and contribute to business goals. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses strong time management and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Learn all aspects of the Amperage business
- Attend classes online and in-person at various locations
- Participate in on-the-job training and mentoring
- Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with electrical contractors
- Contribute to goal-planning with the Profit Center Manager
- Develop sales opportunities with current customers
- Provide technical information and explanations to customers
- Prepare quotations for customers
- Maintain proactive communication with accounts
- Fill orders and communicate expected delivery dates
- Update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions
- Accomplish department and organization goals
- Engage in counter sales, receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and customer delivery
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Current, valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Authorization to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship
