About the position

The Sales Training Manager at Cepheid is responsible for supporting the Cepheid University Sales Training process, focusing on developing and delivering training curriculum, field coaching, and executing training objectives to achieve US sales goals. This remote position involves collaboration with various teams to assess training needs and implement effective learning initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales, Clinical Solutions, Sales Enablement, and Marketing teams to assess training needs and develop an implementation plan.
• Create, lead, and facilitate learning/training initiatives.
• Exercise effective in-person and virtual classroom management skills.
• Escalate issues within Sales Training and Sales Leadership when necessary.
• Foster and strengthen relationships with matrix and business partners to support training initiatives.
• Manage multiple ongoing projects, demonstrating excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Field travel to coach field-based sales reps and sales leadership.
• Demonstrate innovation through creative Adult Learning techniques in both development and delivery of content.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Training, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Microbiology, Molecular Diagnostics, or related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related work experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years, or a Doctoral degree with 3+ years of work experience.
• Public speaking, facilitation, and delivery of in-person and virtual training and learning.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual: Spanish/English, French/English, or Portuguese/English.
• Proficiency in learning technology, online tools, and systems: MS Teams, Seismic, and Power BI.
• Sales Training experience.
