About the position

The Sales Training Manager at Cepheid is responsible for supporting the Cepheid University Sales Training process, focusing on developing and delivering training curriculum, field coaching, and executing training objectives to achieve US sales goals. This remote position involves collaboration with various teams to assess training needs and implement effective learning initiatives, while also managing multiple projects and demonstrating strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver curriculum for sales training.
• Conduct field coaching for sales representatives and leadership.
• Assess training needs in collaboration with Sales, Clinical Solutions, Sales Enablement, and Marketing teams.
• Create, lead, and facilitate learning/training initiatives.
• Manage multiple ongoing projects with clear milestones and deliverables.
• Exercise effective classroom management skills in both in-person and virtual settings.
• Foster relationships with matrix and business partners to support training initiatives.
• Demonstrate innovation through creative Adult Learning techniques.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Training, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Microbiology, Molecular Diagnostics, or related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related work experience, OR Master's degree with 6+ years of related work experience, OR Doctoral degree with 3+ years of related work experience.
• Public speaking, facilitation, and delivery of in-person and virtual training.
• Ability to travel 80% domestically and internationally.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 20 lbs.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual: Spanish/English, French/English, or Portuguese/English.
• Proficiency in learning technology, online tools, and systems such as MS Teams, Seismic, and Power BI.
• Previous sales training experience.
