About the position

The Salesforce Administrator at EMC will be responsible for day-to-day end-user support within Salesforce, managing user access, and performing various administrative tasks. This role requires collaboration with different teams to understand business needs and translate them into actionable solutions on the Salesforce platform. The ideal candidate will also mentor junior team members and focus on improving data integrity and user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Be a go-to person for the Salesforce platform.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Respond to helpdesk requests related to Salesforce.
  • Manage user creation, profile, and access privileges for new users.
  • Partner with other business and technical teams to understand business needs and translate them into capability/platform roadmaps.
  • Provide day-to-day end-user support including system configuration, complex formulas, and system maintenance.
  • Assist users with proactive best practices to enhance their knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Focus on providing improved data integrity and user experience.
  • Manage daily administration of multiple user setups, profiles, roles, and customizations.
  • Work with co-workers on technical issues while maintaining confidentiality and security.
  • Create custom objects, fields, formulas, validation rules, flows, and approval processes within Salesforce.
  • Partner with management and marketing staff to create and manage complex workflow rules and data validation.
  • Stay current on Salesforce integration tools, best practices, and new features.
  • Prioritize, plan, and execute special projects including reporting and data clean-up.
  • Identify potential training needs of EMC staff and create documentation on processes and policies.
  • Help maintain accuracy of all data within the Salesforce system.
  • Assist with the development of customized reports and dashboards.

Requirements

  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 4-7 years of systems experience supporting sales, service, planning, and analytics.
  • Knowledge about Salesforce applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Salesforce Admin certification.
  • Experience with TaskRay (Salesforce app for project management).
