The role requires extensive document translation, transcription of audio and video recordings, and interpreting during attorney-client meetings and other legal proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and translate legal documents, correspondence, transcripts, treaties, and foreign documents.
• Transcribe audio and videotape recordings.
• Interpret for attorney-client meetings, witness interviews, and telephone conversations.
• Assist in jail visits and office court proceedings.
• Provide litigation support and help prepare clients for trial.
• Conduct pre-sentence interviews and interviews with other government officials as permitted by the court.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Linguistics.
• Fluency in Mandarin.
