About the position

The North Carolina Office of Recovery and Resiliency (NCORR) within the Department of Public Safety (DPS) is tasked with executing multi-year recovery and resiliency projects in response to the damages caused by Hurricanes Matthew and Florence. The office is headquartered in Research Triangle Park and focuses on supporting long-term recovery for storm survivors and communities affected by these disasters. The projects undertaken by NCORR encompass various areas including Single-Family Homeowner Rehabilitation/Repair, Housing Repair Reimbursement, Single-family Homeowner Reconstruction, Homeowner Buyout, Mobile Home Repair, Mobile Home Replacement, Homeowner Assistance, Infrastructure, Affordable Housing, and Mitigation. This position is critical to the maintenance and optimization of the Salesforce.com (SFDC) Lightning platform. The selected candidate will be responsible for system configuration, maintenance, enhancements, and upgrades, combining technical expertise with client relationship skills to effectively implement product offerings. Collaboration with functional leaders is essential to identify, define, and implement necessary changes and enhancements to meet business requirements in a dynamic, high-growth environment. The role includes establishing and implementing change control and best practices regarding system maintenance, configuration, development, testing, and data integrity. Additionally, the candidate will manage the integration of applications connected to Salesforce.com, such as Salesforce Nintext, Adobe Sign, FormAssembly, and OwnBackup. The position plays a vital role throughout the project's full lifecycle, overseeing the design, configuration, development, and deployment of enterprise-level, mission-critical systems. Responsibilities also include reviewing and monitoring User Acceptance Testing (UAT) results, performing hands-on testing for quality assurance, and developing training for end-users. This role requires a strong understanding of Salesforce configuration and integration, as well as the ability to identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimize the Salesforce.com (SFDC) Lightning platform.
  • Configure and enhance the system, including upgrades and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to implement changes and enhancements.
  • Establish and implement change control and best practices for system maintenance.
  • Manage integration of applications connected to Salesforce.com.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of enterprise-level systems, including design and deployment.
  • Review and monitor UAT test results and perform quality assurance testing.
  • Develop and implement training for end-users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Management, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in Salesforce administration or related field.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration and integration aspects.
  • Experience in developing custom objects, workflows, validation rules, and triggers in SFDC.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong understanding of data structures and data modeling.
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with business users and technical staff.
  • Experience working in an Agile Framework (Scrum or Kanban).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce Nintext, Adobe Sign, FormAssembly, and OwnBackup.
