Salesforce/Apex Application Developer

About the position

This position is responsible for the development of new and enhancement of existing SFDC Platform and Force.com cloud-based applications. The role includes systems analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance. You will play a key role in proactively designing and implementing SFDC and Force.com technology improvements to enhance ShoreTel's image and increase communications to its employees, customers, partners, investors, and the general public. You will maximize SFDC, Force.com, and APEX technologies to support Lead to Service business processes, both internal to ShoreTel as well as for Customers and Partners. Additionally, you will contribute to the SFDC and Force.com adaptation strategy and will actively consult cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Services, and Engineering Management. This position also includes SFDC custom development and administration responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop new and enhance existing SFDC Platform and Force.com cloud-based applications.
• Conduct systems analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance.
• Design and implement SFDC and Force.com technology improvements.
• Maximize SFDC, Force.com, and APEX technologies to support Lead to Service business processes.
• Contribute to the SFDC and Force.com adaptation strategy.
• Consult cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Services, and Engineering Management.
• Perform SFDC custom development and administration.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in a corporate technology environment developing SFDC technology programs.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce.com (SFDC) APEX code design techniques and methodologies.
• Experience with JQuery, SOQL, and other DB centric technologies in addition to SFDC development experience.
• 5 years of experience working with Marketing, Sales, and Service communications organizations.
• At least 2 years of experience working in an emerging technology company.
• Proven record of successful program management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Solid understanding of system architecture and system design (SFDC /CRM and Force.com).
• 5 years+ project management experience in CRM or front office related field.
• 5 years+ front-end integration experience with development teams on SFDC/Force.com applications.
• 2 years+ developing advanced APEX coding solutions in corporate customer-facing environments.
• Experience in integrating enterprise applications with other API enabled Business Systems is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Certifications in Salesforce (Administrations or Development).
• Experience with SDLC and related development application methodologies for enterprise and cloud-based SaaS implementations.
• Conceptual understanding of CRM Systems Architecture.
• Strong collaboration, influencing, and negotiation skills.
