About the position

As a Salesforce Application Developer at Steampunk, you will collaborate with Technical/Solutions Architects and Business Analysts to transform business requirements into effective Salesforce solutions. Your role will involve developing, testing, documenting, and maintaining various Salesforce implementations, utilizing both declarative and programmatic resources. You will ensure quality delivery through rigorous testing and adherence to coding standards, while also managing improvements and new functionalities within the Salesforce application.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high quality business solutions on the SFDC platform based on industry best practices and business needs.
• Manage the process of implementing improvements and new functionality in the SFDC application.
• Deliver support and solutions for break/fix issues.
• Communicate and collaborate with other technical resources and stakeholders regarding status, technical issues, and creative solutions.
• Perform Salesforce administration tasks such as creating accounts/profiles, defining fields, and updating layouts, reports, and dashboards.
• Support Salesforce.com configuration tasks including field/page updates, workflows, and automated approvals.
• Handle multiple projects/priorities using proven project management methodologies to ensure quality delivery of enterprise solutions.
• Monitor Salesforce.com usage for compliance and maintain security for Salesforce.com data.
• Interface with business analysts and technical staff to deliver complete work products.
• Implement App Exchange platforms and research integration issues.
• Research and develop new Salesforce.com prototypes and applications, keeping current on force.com technologies.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of applications and document best practices and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years of experience with Salesforce development.
• 5+ years of total experience in IT.
• Functional knowledge of Salesforce.com data structure and how to leverage the tool for complex processes and reporting.
• Proven knowledge and practical application of Visualforce, APEX programming, Force.com APIs, and Web Services.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
• Salesforce Developer certification(s).
