As a Salesforce Architect in AbbVie's Business Technology Solutions (BTS) team, you will play a pivotal role in the digital transformation of a leading biopharma company. Your primary responsibility will be to define a sustainable architecture strategy and framework for delivering lean and maintainable solutions on the Salesforce platform. This includes overseeing the technical roadmap for the Salesforce organization and continuously improving processes to align with the long-range business plan and industry trends. You will lead a team of Salesforce Architects and technical professionals, acting as a technical leader who educates the team on best practices within the Salesforce ecosystem. Collaboration with Solution Architects will be essential, as you will provide expert-level advice and participate in ecosystem solutioning that requires Salesforce involvement. Setting standards for the Salesforce organization will be a key part of your role, including establishing reference architecture, best practices, and design principles. In addition, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining Salesforce-centric architecture deliverables such as system landscapes, platform architecture, integration architecture, module-based design documents, data models, and security architecture. These deliverables must be managed according to established standards, and you will produce, review, and approve them as part of the delivery process. You will also create technical roadmaps for the Salesforce organization, influencing business leaders and product owners to sponsor these initiatives. As a trusted advisor, you will design and architect solutions to address business challenges. Staying current with Salesforce releases, features, and functionalities will be crucial, as you will guide the team in leveraging new capabilities during the solutioning and design phases. Identifying and addressing technical debt in the platform will also be part of your responsibilities. Finally, you will build proof of concepts (POCs) to meet business needs using Salesforce technology, features, and functionalities, ensuring that the solutions you design are both innovative and effective.
