About the position

As the Salesforce Business Analyst, you'll be part of our Sales Operations and Marketing team, which supports multiple departments across the organization such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations and Management. As part of the Sales Operations team, you'll be responsible for extracting and analyzing data from Salesforce and 3rd-party platforms while simultaneously taking a hands-on approach to improving the overall Salesforce instance. Daily work for this role can include gathering requirements from stakeholders, utilizing data to analyze and evaluate options, and implementing technical solutions in Salesforce. While Salesforce experience is valued, we prioritize work ethic, adaptability, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the administration of Salesforce, including new user set up, roles, profiles, permissions, custom objects, workflows, validation rules, page layouts and other customizations.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy for all CRM and Marketo data, including data imported or integrated from partner API sources.
  • Maintain compliance and perform regular audits to ensure Cambrex is following data management best practices.
  • Evaluate information from a range of sources, settle any inconsistencies, and break down high-level information into details.
  • Create reports and dashboards that deliver key business insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards in alignment with business needs and stakeholder requests.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex formulas, analyze data, and effectively utilize advanced functions and tools such as pivot tables, conditional formatting, data validation, and Power Query.
  • Exposure to programming languages such as SQL, JavaScript, HTML, or Apex (preferred but not required).
  • Familiarity with data integration tools and business analytics systems such as Salesforce Data Loader, Power BI, and CRM Analytics (preferred but not required).
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to generate detailed reports and deliver presentations with clarity and impact.
  • Proficiency in database management, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Nice-to-haves

  • Current Salesforce Administrator Certification.
  • Experience working with sandbox and production environments.
  • Salesforce Developer experience (SOQL, Apex, etc.)
