About the position

The Salesforce Center of Excellence (COE) Product Owner at Huntington Bank is responsible for leveraging agile methodologies to develop and deliver banking products and solutions, particularly focusing on the MuleSoft and Salesforce Marketing Cloud platforms. This role involves engaging with product leaders and stakeholders to represent features, objectives, and priorities to the agile team, managing the product lifecycle from requirements gathering through production and release, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Salesforce product ownership, focusing on MuleSoft and Salesforce Marketing Cloud platforms.
  • Validates completeness of approved features for decomposition and leads the validation of feature priority and implementation sequencing timeline.
  • Manages the product lifecycle from requirements gathering through production and release.
  • Ensures cross-impacted teams are identified early and included in solution discussions; manages impact assessment timelines.
  • Manages priorities with other Product Owners where cross-product conflicts exist.
  • Establishes communication and manages leadership relationships and expectations of the team.
  • Provides stakeholders with transparency to execution progress and blockers.
  • Collaborates with the Business Systems Analyst and facilitates Story Mapping sessions, providing the overall vision/problem statement and explaining each identified feature and its defined scope.
  • Manages Product Backlog and defines sprint goals by consulting with scrum teams during development, providing clarification and context, validating user story acceptance criteria, and accepting completed User Stories.
  • Defines and tracks key product performance indicators (KPIs) and release-specific success metrics.
  • Maintains Development Tracking tools and creates/assigns cards for Feature Definition.
  • Logs open risks, issues, questions, decisions against Features and documents ongoing changes to feature scope, prioritization, and requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of Product Management experience or equivalent focusing on digital technologies and service-based integrations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including professional grammar and demeanor
  • Self-starter who develops plans and is committed to hitting delivery dates
  • Ability to develop working relationships with individuals at all levels of an organization
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Salesforce Certifications (e.g., Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales/Service Cloud Consultant, Marketing Cloud Email Specialist)
  • Ability to translate business needs to technology teams
  • Experience with desktop and mobile web, mobile apps, and alerts
  • Experience with retail or business financial services
  • User-centered design and usability expertise
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with the Software Delivery Lifecycle.
