About the position

The Salesforce CPQ Functional Consultant role is a critical position that involves working closely with clients to understand their business needs and translate those into effective Salesforce solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of Salesforce CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) functionalities and the ability to implement these solutions in a way that aligns with the client's business goals. The consultant will be responsible for gathering requirements, building custom Salesforce applications, and ensuring that the solutions provided meet both technical and business requirements. In this role, the consultant will leverage their extensive experience in Salesforce administration and CPQ to deliver high-quality solutions. They will work with various stakeholders, including senior-level personnel, to demonstrate the capabilities of Salesforce CPQ and how it can enhance their business processes. The consultant will also manage offshore development resources, overseeing tasks such as configuration, customization, data migration, and integration. A strong understanding of CRM best practices and experience with Sales and Service Cloud will be essential for success in this position. The consultant will be expected to utilize formal delivery methodologies to ensure that projects are completed on time and within scope. Additionally, they will need to stay updated on the latest Salesforce technologies and best practices to provide the best possible solutions to clients. This role is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements while still requiring a high level of collaboration and communication with team members and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze business requirements for Salesforce CPQ solutions.
  • Build custom Salesforce applications based on client needs.
  • Align Salesforce technologies with business goals and technical requirements.
  • Demonstrate Salesforce CPQ capabilities to senior-level personnel.
  • Manage offshore development resources and oversee configuration and customization tasks.
  • Conduct data migration and integration activities as needed.
  • Utilize formal delivery methodologies to ensure project success.
  • Stay updated on CRM best practices and Salesforce technologies.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Salesforce-related roles.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst or Administrator.
  • 5+ years of direct experience with Salesforce CPQ.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator or Developer certification required.
  • Experience in gathering requirements and building custom Salesforce applications.
  • Broad understanding of CRM best practices.
  • Experience with Sales and Service Cloud.
  • Salesforce CPQ Certifications are preferred.
  • Experience in developing and delivering demonstrations to senior personnel.
  • Experience managing offshore development resources.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Lightning, Field Service, Visualforce, and Apex.
