About the position

The Ohio Department of Health is seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer with Mulesoft expertise to enhance the Salesforce ecosystem through optimization, new app development, and integration with various technologies. The role involves collaborating with the in-house Salesforce Development team to drive adoption and ensure efficient operations within the Salesforce platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and integrate Salesforce systems to enable efficiencies in key areas of the business
• Provide consulting and coaching around best practices in Salesforce administration and implementation
• Work on Salesforce automation to streamline processes
• Collaborate with the Project team and stakeholders to understand project needs and design technology solutions
• Define and manage a change management process for application updates
• Identify project issues/risks and present alternatives to resolve them
• Administer, troubleshoot, and maintain the connected Salesforce platform
• Support the build-out of key reports and dashboards, ensuring data integrity
• Recommend new features and improvements to optimize platform usage
• Utilize Agile/Scrum development principles in project work
• Design, build, and deliver tailored Salesforce solutions using connected technologies
• Provide technical specifications and maintain overall documentation
• Uphold and promote best practices and security guidelines.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience developing Salesforce customizations (Apex classes, Lightning Web Components, SFDX)
• A minimum of 2 years of experience creating technical architecture for complex Salesforce implementations
• A minimum of 1 year of experience integrating Salesforce with other applications using the MuleSoft Any point Platform
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in technology implementation for full lifecycle enterprise software projects
• Consulting experience with medium to large consulting firms focusing on cloud computing
• Strong business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering and solution deployment
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication and data presentation skills
• Experience with programming languages (JavaScript frameworks, HTML5, CSS)
• Familiarity with web development tools (Visual Studio Code, Any point Studio, Git Azure DevOps)
• Knowledge of Cloud Computing (SaaS, PaaS) and Salesforce.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience developing for Salesforce Communities and Lightning App Builder
• Familiarity with developing on other cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
