About the position

TEKsystems is seeking a Salesforce Developer to join our team in West Des Moines, Iowa. We are looking for both a mid-level and a senior-level developer who can focus on coding and technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in the insurance sector, particularly with integration to back-end policy systems, which will be crucial in driving decisions within the team. The role involves collaborating closely with the analytics team to present data effectively to Salesforce users. The Salesforce Developer will work directly with agents who are our clients, selling annuities and ensuring that their needs are met through effective technical solutions. Historically, our approach has been to deliver exactly what business partners requested, regardless of whether it was the best technical solution. We are now looking for someone who can listen to business partners, understand their requirements, and translate them into maintainable and scalable technical solutions. The Business Analyst will provide the requirements, and the developer must be able to comprehend these needs and build appropriate solutions. Candidates should have 5-7 years of experience as a Salesforce Architect, with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. The position requires proficiency in Sales Cloud, web services, Force.com, Chatter, and AppExchange on Salesforce. The developer will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, and testing of Salesforce applications, as well as managing administrative tasks within Salesforce.com. This includes configuring users, roles, profiles, and creating custom objects, reports, and dashboards tailored to the needs of the executive team. The role also involves data migration using various tools, designing custom fields and approval processes, and ensuring security controls are in place. A strong understanding of CRM processes such as lead management, pipeline management, and case management is essential. Experience in migrating data from legacy systems to Salesforce is also required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Salesforce solutions based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with the analytics team to present data to Salesforce users.
• Translate business partner requests into effective technical solutions.
• Manage Salesforce.com administrative tasks including user configuration and role assignments.
• Create custom objects, reports, and dashboards tailored to business needs.
• Conduct data migration using tools like Apex Data Loader and Salesforce API Data Loader.
• Design and implement security controls and settings within Salesforce.
• Test and validate Apex code and Salesforce configurations.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer or Architect.
• Proficient in Sales Cloud, web services, Force.com, Chatter, and AppExchange.
• Strong experience in analysis, design, development, and testing of Salesforce applications.
• Experience in creating custom objects and junction objects with various relationships.
• Robust experience in data migration using Data Load tools and Salesforce API.
• Ability to create customized reports and dashboards for executive teams.
• Experience in managing Salesforce.com administrative tasks and configurations.
• Strong knowledge of testing Apex, Dynamic Apex, and Batch Apex.
