About the position

The Salesforce Developer position at NASPO is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying customized solutions within the Salesforce platform. This role involves collaboration with various departments to enhance business operations and customer experiences through effective use of Salesforce. The developer will work extensively with APEX, APIs, and Visualforce pages, integrating Salesforce with external systems to meet organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop custom solutions on the Salesforce platform, including custom objects, workflows, validation rules, and triggers.
  • Develop Lightning Web Components (LWC) for customized front-end user interfaces on Salesforce.
  • Maintain custom APEX classes, triggers, and Visualforce pages.
  • Manage integrations between Salesforce and external applications using secure APIs and OAuth 2.0.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to optimize REST APIs.
  • Set up and manage Salesforce Single Sign-On (SSO) configurations.
  • Design branded portals and websites using Salesforce Digital Experiences.
  • Engage with various departments to understand and automate their business processes within Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with finance on the integration between Salesforce and external finance systems.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Act as a project manager, overseeing multiple Salesforce projects and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce customizations and integrations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members.
  • Travel to events to support registration and logistics.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer.
  • Strong experience with Salesforce projects across Sales, Service, and Experience clouds.
  • Proficiency in APEX, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and SOQL.
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce Connected Apps and secure API integrations.
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Pardot, and other Salesforce products is desired.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, and other web technologies is desired.
  • Experience with Mulesoft (AnyPoint) or similar integration tools is preferred.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I & II certification or Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification is desired.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a Salesforce Developer function.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using Salesforce AppExchange and third-party apps.
  • Strong understanding of Fonteva objects and functionality within Salesforce.
  • Experience managing bulk data using tools like workbench and data loader.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
