About the position

A rapidly expanding Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm located in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a full-time, on-site Salesforce Developer to assist in the company's Salesforce journey. This role is crucial for translating complex business requirements into technical solutions on the Salesforce platform. The Salesforce Developer will work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to ensure that the solutions developed meet the needs of the business effectively. The primary responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining custom Salesforce applications using various Salesforce technologies such as Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components, and Visualforce. The developer will implement complex business logic through Apex triggers, classes, and asynchronous processing methods. Additionally, the role involves developing custom UI components and user interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Apex, as well as integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and other integration techniques. Customization of the Salesforce data model is also a key responsibility, which includes creating custom objects, fields, relationships, and record types to support various business processes. The developer will configure and customize Salesforce features like workflows, validation rules, and approval processes to automate business operations. Ensuring high quality and reliability through unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing of Salesforce solutions is essential. The Salesforce Developer will also optimize Salesforce performance by analyzing and optimizing SOQL queries, Apex code, and data model design. Collaboration with Salesforce administrators to manage security settings, profiles, permission sets, and role hierarchy is expected. Participation in code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability is also part of the role. Staying updated with the latest Salesforce platform releases and best practices is crucial for continuous improvement in development processes and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions on the Salesforce platform.
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components, Visualforce, and other Salesforce technologies.
  • Implement complex business logic using Apex triggers, classes, controllers, and asynchronous processing (batch apex, future methods, queueable apex).
  • Develop Lightning Web Components (LWC) for custom UI components and user interfaces, leveraging JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Apex.
  • Integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and other integration techniques.
  • Customize the Salesforce data model, including creating custom objects, fields, relationships, and record types to support business processes.
  • Configure and customize Salesforce features such as workflows, validation rules, process builder flows, and approval processes to automate business processes.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing of Salesforce solutions to ensure high quality and reliability.
  • Optimize Salesforce performance by analyzing and optimizing SOQL queries, Apex code, and data model design.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce administrators to manage security settings, profiles, permission sets, and role hierarchy.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Salesforce platform releases, features, and best practices, and proactively apply them to improve development processes and solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of development experience with Salesforce technologies such as Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Salesforce APIs.
  • Experience with traditional front-end, back-end, and database technologies preferred.
  • Experience with Git, Gearset, and other CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Agile development and methodologies.
  • Salesforce.com administration and developer certifications preferred.
