About the position

As a Salesforce Developer at SeaGlass IT, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of Salesforce solutions that meet the needs of our clients. This position requires a deep understanding of Salesforce's capabilities and the ability to leverage them to create intuitive solutions for real-world business problems. You will be responsible for crafting Lightning Apps, utilizing the Lightning Design System, Lightning App Builder, and Lightning Web Component features to enhance user experience and functionality. Your expertise in Salesforce APIs, Apex Triggers, Classes, and other Salesforce tools will be essential in driving successful project outcomes. In this role, you will engage in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), employing methodologies such as Agile to ensure efficient project delivery. You will also be involved in client discussions during requirements gathering, providing insights and suggestions on the best tools and techniques to achieve scalable solutions. Your ability to bridge the gap between business needs and IT capabilities will be vital, as you will work closely with both teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation of Salesforce solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and demonstrate a passion for learning new technologies and business areas. You will take personal accountability for delivering strong results, showcasing your problem-solving skills by addressing complex challenges from multiple perspectives. Your experience with Salesforce Communities, Marketing Cloud, and AWS certification will be advantageous, as will your knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices development. This position is based onsite in Smithfield, RI, and requires a commitment to working collaboratively with the team to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Salesforce solutions that meet client needs.
  • Craft Lightning Apps using Lightning Design System, Lightning App Builder, and Lightning Web Component features.
  • Utilize Salesforce APIs, Apex Triggers, Classes, and other tools for development.
  • Engage in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies.
  • Participate in client discussions during requirements gathering to provide suggestions on feasible solutions.
  • Bridge the needs between business and IT teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Take personal accountability for delivering strong results and solving complex challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related major with 6+ years of CRM development experience, or a Master's degree with 4+ years of CRM development experience.
  • Certified Salesforce Administrator and/or Certified Salesforce Developer.
  • Experience with Salesforce Communities or Marketing Cloud is preferred.
  • AWS certification is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in standard functions/modules of Salesforce.com: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Financial Services Cloud.
  • Demonstrated experience with Force.com development platform.
  • Experience crafting Lightning Apps combining Lightning Design System, Lightning App Builder, and Lightning Web Component features.
  • Experience with Salesforce APIs, Apex Triggers, Classes, Callouts, SOQL, Workflow Rules, Approvals, Visual Flow, Process Builder, and Platform events.
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce design principles and technically scalable data modeling.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API and microservices development along with Salesforce API integration.
  • Demonstrated experience of full Software Development Life Cycle, DevOps, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development.
  • Experience with Application build and deploy using Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) tools - Jenkins and Salesforce DX.
  • Demonstrated experience of Salesforce.com administration and end user security requirements.
  • Experience with large scale system implementation, integration, interfaces, and data conversion.
  • Experience in using efficient methodologies (e.g., Agile) and driving development platforms.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce Communities or Marketing Cloud is preferred.
  • AWS certification would be preferred.
