About the position

The Salesforce Development Manager will lead the development and architectural design of Salesforce CRM systems, specifically focusing on Financial and Marketing Cloud implementations. This role requires a hands-on approach, working closely with both onshore and offshore teams, and involves significant interaction with C-level business users and various stakeholders in the banking and wealth management sectors. The manager will oversee the entire development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality solutions are delivered while adhering to best practices and security protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Lead various tasks relating to development and architecting of Salesforce CRM system with Financial and Marketing Cloud experience.
  • Own, manage, and improve upon a consistent approach to the design and development phase of development.
  • Work with business analysts and developers to implement/enhance Salesforce CRM.
  • Create flow diagrams, structure charts, and other types of system or process representations.
  • Perform hands-on development work including Build and Deployment, with knowledge of SDLC.
  • Lead and manage the technical aspects and project initiatives of the Salesforce development team from inception to successful delivery.
  • Gather and analyze user requirements and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high-quality business solutions on the Salesforce.com platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other technologies.
  • Design the security model for SFDC, including Roles, Hierarchy, and Sharing model, and work closely with CISO to ensure application security.
  • Ensure daily production activities, data maintenance, cleansing, and verification in Salesforce.com.
  • Independently research, troubleshoot, and resolve cases within established Service Level Agreements.
  • Ensure adherence to Software Development Lifecycle and ITIL methodologies, driving process enhancements.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of new processes and system enhancements.
  • Assist in testing, deployment, and post-launch support of new functionality to meet business needs.
  • Communicate with other IT teams regarding status, technical issues, and creative solutions.
  • Leverage industry development best practices, frameworks, and methods.
  • Review and update SQL/SOQL/Apex scripts.
  • Incorporate platform security features into solutions to meet data security requirements.
  • Collaborate with other platforms including MuleSoft, Database, and Core Banking platforms.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience with Salesforce is required.
  • 15-20+ years in software development.
  • Experience with JIRA, Bit Bucket/Github, and Jenkins required.
  • Experience with a range of web programming languages such as Java, J2EE, XML, XSD, JSON.
  • Large scale application development and integration experience.
  • Self-motivated in tasking and development planning.
  • Great communication skills and confidence to manage up.
  • Core Banking, Lending Business, wealth management skills/knowledge along with KYC, Account Opening.

Nice-to-haves

  • Single Sign On experience is a plus.
  • Experience in an Agile environment.
