About the position

The Salesforce Fundraising Database Manager at 2Life Communities is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's Salesforce donor database, which includes approximately 10,000 records. This role serves as a strategic resource for tracking and reporting on fundraising progress, ensuring accurate processing of donations, and supporting the fundraising team in various activities. The position requires strong attention to detail, project management skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately maintain 2Life's Salesforce donor database, including approximately 10,000 records.
  • Process donations and pledges promptly and accurately according to best practices.
  • Run revenue reports for the department, Development Committee, and Board of Directors, advising on revenue progress against annual goals.
  • Train staff as part of the onboarding process.
  • Perform maintenance projects on the database, including archiving data and deduping records.
  • Generate and file correspondence related to gifts processing, including invoices and gift agreements.
  • Support the fundraising team for donor receptions/events, including major fundraisers.
  • Communicate directly with donors and financial institutions to clarify donation-related questions.
  • Perform weekly, monthly, and year-end reconciliation with the Accounting Department.
  • Meet regularly with the IT team to address Salesforce configuration issues.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of all donor data consistent with Massachusetts Data Security Law.

Requirements

  • Three years of Salesforce database management experience in a nonprofit fundraising department.
  • Comfortable with Google Workspace.
  • Experience with iWave or other wealth identification software is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with donor records and information.
  • Practiced and dependable attention to detail and organization.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Exceptional writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with iWave or other wealth identification software is a plus.
