About the position

The position involves designing, coding, debugging, testing, documenting, and implementing Salesforce Health Cloud, including application customizations and integration with third-party vendor-supplied software. The role requires providing functional and technical support in collaboration with the Salesforce Health Cloud Administrator and working closely with other department resources to support multiple system interfaces and data integration. The individual will monitor, define, and report on critical path workflows, resolving issues or escalating them as necessary. The candidate will be responsible for evaluating, supporting, and testing vendor-supplied software packages, determining compatibility with existing systems, and installing and testing vendor upgrades and patches. They will also research the setup and functionality of available software modules, gaining a solid understanding of business processes and user functions that these modules support. The role includes designing user interfaces and workflows based on business needs, analyzing, designing, and developing code to support multiple system interfaces and data integration services, and using Salesforce APIs for integration with other systems. Additionally, the position requires providing daily support to functional end-users, performing debugging tasks to resolve system issues, and coordinating with appropriate departments to ensure effective communication regarding application functionality. The candidate will develop system and program test plans, conduct program and system testing, and prepare technical reports and instructional manuals as documentation of program development. Regular attendance and participation in Agile Project Management (Scrum) activities are also essential components of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, debug, test, document, and implement Salesforce Health Cloud and customizations.
  • Provide functional and technical support in collaboration with the Salesforce Health Cloud Administrator.
  • Support multiple system interfaces and data integration with other department resources.
  • Monitor, define, and report on critical path workflows.
  • Evaluate, support, and test vendor-supplied software packages for compatibility with existing systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field with courses in programming and database systems or equivalent experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation.
  • 3+ years of general application development and support experience.
  • 1 year of hands-on experience in Salesforce Health Cloud.
  • 1 year of experience with a Salesforce DevOps toolset and CI/CD practices.
  • Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification.
  • Experience with JavaScript, Flows, Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOAP, REST.
  • Experience working in an agile environment using Jira or similar solutions.
  • Experience communicating with both technical and business audiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • 4 or more years of general application development and support experience.
  • 2 years of experience in Salesforce Health Cloud.
  • 2 years of experience with a Salesforce DevOps toolset and CI/CD practices.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification.
  • Experience with Aura framework and OmniScript.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical experience working with healthcare systems or in a government contract systems environment.
  • Experience in Salesforce Lightning Web Components and Einstein Analytics.
