About the position

The Salesforce Health Cloud Developer Lead at TriWest Healthcare Alliance is a pivotal role that involves leading a technical project team to ensure the successful implementation and support of Salesforce Health Cloud applications. This position requires a deep understanding of the business strategies of client departments, allowing the lead to define the necessary information systems requirements to meet these business needs. The role encompasses providing expert functional and technical support for vendor applications and programs, collaborating closely with the Salesforce Health Cloud Administrator and other departmental resources to support multiple system interfaces and data integration. The lead will monitor, define, and report on critical path workflows, resolving issues or escalating them as necessary. In this role, the lead will drive the design and implementation of new business processes within the required configuration. Responsibilities include overseeing the design, coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and implementation of Salesforce Health Cloud, including application customizations and integration with third-party vendor software. The position requires a proactive approach to mentoring and oversight throughout the development life cycle, ensuring that all team members are supported and guided effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with extensive experience in Salesforce Health Cloud and a solid understanding of application development and support. They will be responsible for creating detailed programming tasks, assigning workloads, monitoring project progress, and performing code reviews. The lead will also coordinate the work of external consultants, evaluate vendor-supplied software packages, and ensure compatibility with existing systems. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the applications that support the healthcare services provided by TriWest Healthcare Alliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a technical project team and serve as the technical project lead, technical architect, and/or project manager.
  • Understand the business strategy of client departments and define information systems requirements to meet business needs.
  • Provide expert functional and technical support for vendor applications and programs in collaboration with the Salesforce Health Cloud Administrator.
  • Collaborate with other department resources to support multiple system interfaces and data integration.
  • Monitor, define, and report on critical path workflows; resolve or escalate issues as required.
  • Drive the design and implementation of new business processes within required configuration.
  • Oversee the design, coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and implementation of Salesforce Health Cloud, including application customizations and integration of third-party vendor software.
  • Create detailed programming technical tasks, assign workload, monitor project progress, perform code reviews, and validate testing outcomes of application developers.
  • Mentor and provide oversight in all areas of the development life cycle.
  • Coordinate the work outcomes of external consultants and evaluate vendor-supplied software packages for compatibility with existing systems.
  • Install and test vendor upgrades and patches; provide technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Research the setup and functionality of available software modules and recommend process changes to end-users.
  • Coordinate the planning, organization, and direction of Salesforce modifications in collaboration with the Salesforce Health Cloud Administrator.
  • Analyze, design, and develop code in support of multiple system interfaces and data integration services.
  • Use Salesforce APIs to integrate with other systems and convert logical design into program code.
  • Prepare technical reports and instructional manuals as documentation of program development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field with courses in programming and database systems or equivalent experience.
  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation.
  • 7+ years general application development and support experience.
  • 5 years' hands-on experience in Salesforce Health Cloud.
  • 5 years' experience with a Salesforce DevOps toolset and CI/CD practices.
  • 2 years' experience leading technical project teams.
  • Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification.
  • Experience with JavaScript, Flows, Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOAP, REST.
  • Experience working in an agile environment using Jira or similar solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Aura framework and OmniScript.
  • Technical experience working with healthcare systems or in a government contract systems environment.
  • Experience in Salesforce Lightning Web Components and Einstein Analytics.
