About the position

The Salesforce Health Cloud Development Lead at TriWest Healthcare Alliance Corp is a pivotal role that leads a technical project team focused on enhancing the functionality and integration of Salesforce Health Cloud applications. This position requires a deep understanding of the business strategies of client departments, allowing the lead to define the information systems requirements that align with business needs. The role involves providing expert functional and technical support for vendor applications and programs, working closely with the Salesforce Health Cloud Administrator to ensure seamless integration and functionality across multiple systems. In this capacity, the lead will monitor, define, and report on critical path workflows, resolving issues as they arise or escalating them when necessary. The position is responsible for driving the design and implementation of new business processes, ensuring that all configurations meet the required standards. The lead will also engage in the design, coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and implementation of Salesforce Health Cloud, including application customizations and the integration of third-party vendor software. The role demands a proactive approach to project management, requiring the lead to keep the management team informed of project status and significant issues that may impact outcomes. The lead will create detailed programming tasks, assign workloads, monitor project progress, and perform code reviews, ensuring that all development activities align with best practices and organizational standards. Additionally, the lead will coordinate the work of external consultants and evaluate vendor-supplied software packages for compatibility with existing systems, providing technical support and troubleshooting as needed. Overall, this position is integral to the successful implementation and ongoing support of Salesforce Health Cloud solutions, requiring a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a strong understanding of healthcare systems and business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Leads a technical project team and serves as the technical project lead, technical architect, and/or project manager.
  • Creates detailed programming technical tasks, assigns workload, monitors project progress, performs code reviews, and validates testing outcomes of application developers.
  • Coordinates the work outcomes of external consultants.
  • Evaluates, supports, and tests vendor-supplied software packages for compatibility with existing systems.
  • Installs and tests vendor upgrades and patches, providing technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Evaluates the impact of system changes on existing modules and recommends process changes to end-users.
  • Shares knowledge of how various application modules interlink and affect one another.
  • Coordinates the planning, organization, and direction of Salesforce modifications in collaboration with the Salesforce Health Cloud Administrator.
  • Investigates and recommends new tools and applications in support of business needs.
  • Oversees the design of UI and workflows based on business needs.
  • Analyzes, designs, and develops code in support of multiple system interfaces and data integration services.
  • Converts logical design into program code and performs complex coding assignments.
  • Serves as a technical and functional resource to entry-level and senior-level developers, providing escalation assistance for service tickets.
  • Coordinates with departments to ensure proper communication for application functionality.
  • Develops and coordinates system and program unit/integration test plans, prepares test data, and conducts testing.
  • Prepares technical reports and instructional manuals as documentation of program development.
  • Logs, monitors, and manages event calls regarding reported problems.
  • Participates in project review/status meetings internally and with client departments.
  • Works in a team environment using Agile Project Management (Scrum) and Test Driven Development.
  • Documents change control and performs on-call support functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field with courses in programming and database systems or equivalent experience.
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation.
  • 7+ years general application development and support experience.
  • 5 years' hands-on experience in Salesforce Health Cloud.
  • 5 years' experience with a Salesforce DevOps toolset and CI/CD practices.
  • 2 years' experience leading technical project teams.
  • Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification.
  • Experience with JavaScript, Flows, Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOAP, REST.
  • Experience working in an agile environment using Jira or similar solutions.
  • Experience communicating with both technical and business audiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Aura framework and OmniScript.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical experience working with healthcare systems or in a government contract systems environment.
  • Experience in Salesforce Lightning Web Components and Einstein Analytics.
