About the position

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Analyst will play a crucial role in collaborating with the Product Owner and the agile team to deliver user stories that focus on configuring package software and executing highly technical tasks. This position requires a strong commitment to quality standards and timely delivery of projects. The analyst will be responsible for ensuring that design and development standards are adhered to, thereby minimizing rework and promoting quality-tested code. Participation in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives is essential to update progress and address any impediments that may arise during the development process. In addition to technical responsibilities, the analyst will be tasked with completing necessary documentation to communicate vital information to deployment, maintenance, service, and business teams. Providing production support and actively working to reduce technical debt will also be key components of this role. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of agile methodologies and be able to apply this knowledge effectively in a fast-paced environment. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong focus on customer satisfaction. The analyst will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the solutions provided meet the specific needs of the business and contribute to the overall success of Sysco's marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates effectively with the agile team to configure package software when applicable
  • Supports the team in executing highly technical tasks according to the specific needs of stories during each iteration
  • Ensures design and development standards are being followed to minimize rework; promotes only quality-tested code and does it on a frequent basis
  • Participates in the daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives to update progress, highlight and resolve impediments
  • Completes required documentation to communicate required information to deployment, maintenance, service and business teams
  • Provides production support and helps drive down technical debt

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of experience in configuration, coding and application development, preferably in an agile environment
  • Basic understanding of Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban and other agile development techniques
  • Sound knowledge of Java, JavaScript and other relevant programming languages
  • Basic knowledge of continuous integration / continuous delivery practices

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in email marketing using ExactTarget/Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Oracle Eloqua, Mailchimp, etc.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience executing marketing automation using SFMC Journey Builder, Cloud Pages, Email Studio, Audience Builder, Contact Builder, and Automation Studio.
