About the position

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer is responsible for designing, executing, and optimizing marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This role requires a strong technical background in AMPscript, SSJS, and SQL, along with hands-on experience in various Marketing Cloud tools. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective campaign strategies and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Strong proficiency in AMPscript, SSJS, and SQL for dynamic content and scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with Journey Builder, Email Studio, Web Studio, Automation Studio, and Content Builder.
  • Solid understanding of SFMC integration techniques and API usage.
  • Strong analytical skills to measure, report, and optimize campaign performance.
  • Knowledge of data extensions, segmentation, and automation workflows.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical campaign issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work across teams.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.g., Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Consultant).
  • Experience with REST/SOAP API integrations.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and email design best practices.
  • Familiarity with GDPR and email marketing compliance regulations.
  • Design, execute, and monitor customer journeys in Journey Builder to drive engagement and retention.
  • Create, manage, and troubleshoot email campaigns through Email Studio and build landing pages using Web Studio.
  • Leverage Automation Studio to streamline campaign execution and scheduling.
  • Utilize Content Builder to manage assets, templates, and dynamic content blocks.
  • Integrate Salesforce Marketing Cloud with other platforms (Salesforce CRM, third-party applications, or custom APIs).
  • Monitor and optimize email performance metrics (open rate, click-through rate, conversions) to ensure continuous campaign improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and technical teams to align business objectives with campaign strategies.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to automation, data extensions, and email deliverability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Nice-to-haves

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.g., Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Consultant).
  • Familiarity with GDPR and email marketing compliance regulations.
