About the position

The Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud Solutions Architect at Slalom will lead the sales and delivery of the Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud product, focusing on helping nonprofit organizations leverage technology to address their unique challenges. This role involves engaging with clients to design solutions, leading discovery sessions, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of Salesforce solutions. The architect will also serve as a technical leader, mentor junior team members, and contribute to brand development through thought leadership and marketing events.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales solutions by connecting desired outcomes to Salesforce implementations.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce, client, and partner architects to develop proposed solutions.
  • Provide detailed level of effort estimates for proposed solutions based on RFPs and client conversations.
  • Articulate benefits and risks to a solution's feasibility and functionality.
  • Own solution direction and outcomes for client delivery.
  • Serve as the Nonprofit Cloud technical leader and subject matter expert for Salesforce projects globally.
  • Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions leveraging Salesforce platforms.
  • Provide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to developers.
  • Lead Slalom in understanding new Nonprofit Cloud product capabilities and best practices.
  • Advise customers and delivery teams on Nonprofit Cloud best practices and solutions.
  • Experiment with, pilot, and scale new Salesforce and partner offerings.
  • Coach and mentor junior technical and functional team members.
  • Participate in marketing events and demonstrate thought leadership through publishing and public speaking.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of Salesforce experience.
  • Proven ability to design and optimize business processes across disparate systems.
  • Excellent client-facing written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce project delivery, preferably in consulting.
  • Passionate about the nonprofit sector's role and technology to support nonprofit missions.
  • Active Salesforce certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience utilizing Nonprofit Cloud or Nonprofit Success Pack.
  • Previous sales and pre-sales solutioning experience.
  • Technical development experience, including hands-on configuration and development of complex business processes.
  • Previous experience with nonprofit sector customers.
