About the position

The Salesforce Product Analyst will be an integral member of the technology vertical within the Sales Enablement organization that supports Evernorth and its businesses. This team is responsible for delivering the strategic vision for the overall technology stack, which includes tools and applications utilized by the business, such as Sales and Account Management, to enhance the client buying journey. The Salesforce Product Analyst will work directly with frontline business users (internal clients) to understand their business processes and identify their needs and requirements. This role is crucial as it represents the "voice of the customer" and ensures that the team is focused on initiatives that maximize business value while delivering necessary fixes and functionality to all customers. In this position, the Salesforce Product Analyst will provide expert content and operational leadership on complex assignments and projects. They will exercise considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives, using their professional and business knowledge to advise functional leaders. The analyst will be recognized internally as a subject matter expert for one or more tools, platforms, internal client groups, or Salesforce record objects. Essential functions include understanding, gathering, reviewing, analyzing, validating, evaluating, and story mapping business processes and user requirements in coordination with business, technology, and software engineering teams. The role requires participation in an after-hours release window every two weeks and involves translating product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements, including business value and expected outcomes. Continuous engagement with business, technology, and other key stakeholders is necessary to nurture strong relationships and increase business knowledge to represent product vision, strategy, and customer needs. The analyst will also create, own, and co-manage the team backlog, collaborating with stakeholders and technology partners to ensure work items are refined and prioritized effectively. They will help identify organizational impediments and work with leadership to create effective strategies to overcome them, while also encouraging the adoption of best practices and assisting in maturing agile practices and methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Understand, gather, review, analyze, validate, evaluate, and story map business processes/systems and user requirements in coordination with the business, technology, and software engineering.
  • Participate in an after-hours release window every two weeks.
  • Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including business value and expected outcomes/acceptance criteria.
  • Continuously engage with the business, technology, and other key stakeholders to stay informed and nurture strong relationships.
  • Create, own, and co-manage the team backlog, collaborating with stakeholders and Technology partners to ensure work items are refined and prioritized.
  • Provide context for prioritizing and accepting the work demoed by Technology, ensuring the right value is delivered.
  • Help identify organizational impediments and work with leadership to create effective strategies to overcome them.
  • Encourage adoption of best practices and assist in maturing agile practices and methodologies.
  • Work in an Agile environment and continuously review business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks.
  • Provide counsel and advice to leadership and stakeholders on proposed and in-flight work, often requiring coordination between different teams and organizations.
  • Engage with BPO and TPO counterparts of downstream systems/tools to resolve upstream dependencies and conflicts effectively.
  • Effectively communicate goals and accomplishments to peers and leadership.
  • Foster the adoption of product enhancements to end users and track and report on value creation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or related field is preferred but not required.
  • 2+ years of work experience as a product owner or business analyst working with Salesforce.
  • Excellent technical abilities and effective analytical abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with discerning business requirements and mapping them to both business processes and tools.
  • Experience working in technology or in close engagement with technology teams.
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail.
  • Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with technology/engineering teams, leadership, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel); working knowledge of software development.
  • High degree of comfort working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple initiatives/projects simultaneously.
  • Project management skill and experience.
  • Ability to gain a fundamental understanding of new methodologies, technologies, and the health service industry.
