About the position

As a Salesforce/Python Developer at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in developing custom solutions for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Premium Stabilization Program (PSP). This position involves building Salesforce applications, implementing best practices, and collaborating with Scrum Teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions. You will also provide system administration support and assist with technical problem analysis and resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Build Salesforce applications/frameworks using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Component Framework.
  • Implement solutions that adhere to Salesforce platform best practices and perform peer code reviews.
  • Develop Python scripts for automating data extraction.
  • Collaborate with Scrum Teams to estimate, plan, and manage new feature development and testing.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into customized solutions.
  • Provide system administration support to customized applications, user permissions, and security settings.
  • Assist with in-depth analysis of technical problems and suggest resolutions.
  • Support post-deployment activities including knowledge transfer and application bug fixes.

Requirements

  • MS/MBA with 6+ years of development experience or BA/BS with 8+ years of development experience.
  • 2+ years' experience with Salesforce custom Development using Lightning Components, Visualforce, APEX.
  • 2+ years' experience on the Salesforce Lightning Platform including Process Builder and Workflows.
  • 2+ years' of hands-on experience with Python.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban.
  • Expert level working knowledge on major Salesforce.com technologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands-on Java development experience.
  • Salesforce.com Certified Platform Developer & Administrator.
  • Healthcare Service Industry or CMS experience.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
  • Certified SAFe Agilist or other Agile certification.
