About the position

The Salesforce Release Manager is responsible for overseeing the deployment of code and configurations across various Salesforce orgs, ensuring adherence to established procedures and maintaining high standards of quality. This role requires a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, DevOps processes, and the ability to work in an agile environment, particularly during release periods. The manager will collaborate with development and QA teams to facilitate defect-free deployments and manage operational processes effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deploy code/manual configuration to various SFDC orgs in strict accordance with an IP (installed procedure) document.
• Run sanity tests and checks to ensure zero defect deployment in a challenging environment.
• Compare deployed code and configuration of multiple SFDC orgs and report on the differences.
• Keep in close touch with the US deployment team to clarify any ambiguities in deployment processes.
• Refresh existing/new sandboxes with the created Sandbox refresh IP document.
• Perform migration and update of users.
• Maintain Deployment Status Report to show the status of previous, current, and future deployments.
• Maintain Audit Trail Report as a repository of all deployment logs and notes.
• Maintain Audit Build Repo for all SF Code being deployed for the DEV to Prod life cycle.

Requirements

• Engineer/CS Graduate with 10+ years of experience.
• Salesforce Certified.
• Ability to assess and implement end-to-end DevOps setup.
• In-depth knowledge of Salesforce code and configuration.
• Experience using Flosum as a Salesforce DevOps tool.
• Custom DevOps setup using Git concepts.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce Metadata and how declarative configuration maps to it.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Release Tools: VS Code, Salesforce CLI, Ant, VBT.
• Familiarity with version control systems: GIT, SVN, GitHub, Bitbucket.
• Basic knowledge of Continuous Integration tools: GitLab Pipelines, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins Pipeline, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Vlocity (SFI) is an added advantage.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
