As a Salesforce Scrum Master at Deloitte, you will be at the forefront of innovative technology solutions, playing a crucial role in enhancing customer strategy, digital design, marketing, and platform development. Our Customer & Marketing Offering Portfolio is dedicated to supporting the mission-critical goals of federal, state, and local government agencies, as well as higher education institutions. By joining our team, you will contribute significantly to our growth strategy, improving user experiences and engagement throughout the entire lifecycle of customer interactions with the public sector. Your role will involve leading daily scrum meetings, ensuring adherence to the scrum process, and facilitating sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. You will protect the team from external influences, foster a self-organizing environment, and drive continuous improvements to increase team velocity. In this position, you will also participate in scrum of scrum meetings with other Salesforce scrum teams, drive the development and documentation of user stories, and engage with the Product Owner and Business Subject Matter Experts (SMAs) to refine user stories. Your collaboration with offshore teams will be essential in explaining user stories and conducting user story acceptance with the business. You will work closely with clients to create, design, and deploy digital products that enhance adoption and drive measurable results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily 'scrum' stand-up meeting and ensure the scrum process is followed.
  • Arrange and run sprint planning, reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Protect the team from external influences and safeguard the scrum process.
  • Foster an environment where team members are self-organizing and empowered to improve their software development process.
  • Remove impediments to the team's progress.
  • Drive continuous improvements among the team to increase velocity.
  • Participate in scrum of scrum meetings with other Salesforce scrum teams and neighboring teams.
  • Drive the development and documentation of user stories.
  • Participate in Discovery & Framing sessions and ongoing user sessions to understand user needs.
  • Engage with Product Owner and Business SMAs to refine user stories.
  • Support assessment of business value to groom the Product backlog.
  • Engage with scrum teams to provide clarity around ongoing development work.
  • Collaborate with offshore teams to explain user stories and conduct user story acceptance with the business.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of total IT experience.
  • 3+ years of Salesforce experience.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodology.
  • Ability to work with product owner, business, functional lead, and scrum team to pick up prioritized user stories from the backlog.
  • Ability to run program increment and iteration planning for the scrum team.
  • Project experience delivering Salesforce Service Cloud or Sales Cloud work.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce configuration (Apex/Lightning coding knowledge not required).
  • Experience working with business to elicit requirements and translate those to user stories.
  • Experience performing business demos and getting user story acceptance completed by business.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a creative, Agile environment and manage agile task assignments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
