The American Red Cross Salesforce Team is a trailblazer in delivering innovative Salesforce solutions that drive business transformation. We are committed to providing exceptional service and tailored Salesforce implementations to our stakeholders. We seek a seasoned Senior Salesforce Developer to join our talented team. As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will be responsible for developing and customizing Salesforce applications to meet the unique needs of our mission. Your deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience with Salesforce technologies will be critical in delivering high-quality, scalable solutions. The work location for this exciting opportunity is virtual. The selected candidate will work 100% remotely from home and can be located anywhere in the United States with a preference to work East Coast hours.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy customized Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and other Salesforce technologies.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Implement integrations between Salesforce and external systems using APIs, web services, and middleware.
  • Perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions to optimize performance and user experience.
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions.
  • Stay current with Salesforce platform updates, new features, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance and support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
  • Strong expertise in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
  • Proficient in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce integration patterns.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I & II certifications REQUIRED; other advanced Salesforce certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering complex Salesforce projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with additional Salesforce certifications beyond Platform Developer I & II.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
