About the position

This position involves conducting independent research and developing applications for both server and client-side production systems. The role requires writing complex code for deployment across various platforms and leading engineering teams to innovate and explore new solutions. The candidate will also analyze user stories, mentor junior developers, and ensure high-quality standards through regular code reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent research and development of applications for server and client-side production systems.
  • Write complex code for deployment across various platforms, including servers, mobile devices, and hosted environments.
  • Innovate and explore new solutions through research for potential implementation in production settings.
  • Collaborate with and lead engineering teams to research and present findings that leverage existing software capabilities and emerging technologies.
  • Analyze and transform user stories into detailed requirements, planning and coding to align with stakeholder goals.
  • Stay updated on current software development languages, methodologies, and tools to support ongoing projects.
  • Share knowledge and mentor junior developers to enhance team skills.
  • Conduct regular code reviews to ensure high-quality standards, identifying and addressing issues or security vulnerabilities.
  • Oversee the production release cycles for the development team's code.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain code in line with standard software development lifecycle practices.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers as needed.
  • Lead initiatives to review and improve existing solutions through effective coding practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete coding tasks and projects.
  • Create proposals for architectural solutions addressing gaps and new services for consideration by management.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the IT team to discuss project progress and resolve any outstanding issues.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends that may impact the organization and its members.
  • Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience with Salesforce development.
  • At least 2 Salesforce certifications.
  • Familiarity with project management concepts and methodologies.
  • Proven ability to mentor junior to mid-level developers.
  • Experience in designing and writing production-level code in multiple C-like programming languages.
