About the position

The Salesforce Solution Architect for Financial Services at Huron is a pivotal role that combines strategic leadership with technical expertise to drive digital transformation for clients in the financial services sector. This position involves collaborating with senior leaders to architect and implement enterprise technology solutions, ensuring that client engagement objectives are not only met but exceeded. The role requires a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform and the ability to lead teams, manage projects, and foster strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery sessions with prospective customers to understand their organizational goals regarding digital transformation.
  • Identify and capture high-level technical requirements during the sales process to scope and estimate potential engagements.
  • Architect technical and business solutions to match client needs and create implementation strategies for complex Salesforce products.
  • Serve as the Scope Owner on the opportunity team, estimating and configuring resource plans and timelines for projects.
  • Support the creation and estimation of statements of work.
  • Develop and deliver high-impact demonstrations of solutions based on client requirements, often requiring rapid prototyping.
  • Work with external account executives to prioritize sales opportunities and manage updates within Salesforce.
  • Articulate the benefits of potential solutions to client executives, including C-level leaders.
  • Serve as the Engagement lead and/or senior technical resource for key client accounts, supporting project success and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Provide technical coaching and development to other team members.
  • Manage initiatives to simplify and improve the presales and delivery process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ years of experience with cloud implementations in a consulting role.
  • 2+ years of experience as a functional lead or technical specialist in the Financial Services industry.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of infrastructure and SaaS technologies.
  • Experience in teaching or demonstrating technology impacts to business stakeholders.
  • Experience as a Solution/Sales Engineer or similar role with the Salesforce platform.
  • Ability to develop and grow others through effective coaching and leadership.
  • Ability to provide industry insights and identify opportunities for value creation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working within a Salesforce Partner or consulting environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of data security, governance, and regulatory requirements in financial services.
  • Salesforce Admin Certification +4 or other Salesforce certifications.
  • Financial Services Cloud Accredited Professional certification.
  • Hands-on declarative configuration experience.
  • Apex/LWC development/architecture experience.
  • Experience in developing Solution Design Documentation.
