About the position

The Salesforce Solution Architect is responsible for designing and documenting technology solutions that align with business objectives. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and strong communication skills to effectively gather requirements, evaluate technologies, and provide guidance to development teams. The architect ensures that solutions meet performance, scalability, and security standards while actively seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Define solution architecture and document the overall architecture of technology solutions.
  • Gather requirements by collaborating with stakeholders such as business project managers and end-users.
  • Evaluate and select suitable technologies and platforms for the solution based on cost, performance, and compatibility.
  • Provide technical guidance to development teams for effective implementation and troubleshooting of solutions.
  • Ensure that technology solutions meet performance, scalability, and security standards, addressing potential risks.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues related to the solution to ensure project success.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the technology solution and keep up to date with industry trends.
  • Communicate effectively with various teams including developers, project managers, and business analysts.
  • Develop and maintain architectural standards and best practices.
  • Supervise and assist with database design, configuration, and integration mapping.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in software development, systems engineering, or business analyst role.
  • 5 years of strong operational experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of various technologies, platforms, and architectural patterns.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Good understanding of Salesforce data model, data architecture, and data management.
  • Understanding of key Salesforce architectural concepts such as API governor limits and test coverage.
  • Deep understanding of integration technologies such as SOAP and REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce ecosystem to leverage the platform for business needs.
  • Experience in detailing business processes and wireframing system designs using process flow tools.
  • Understanding of middleware solutions like Kafka and MuleSoft.
